The SMEs go Life Sciences project is a 3-year long NCP initiative (2004-2007) co-funded by the European Commission and involving 28 partners from 26 countries:

It aimed at fostering and raising the successful involvement of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME) in Life Sciences related research projects of the 6th EU Framework Programme (FP6).
It
provides coherent networking and access to information, based on
training on all FP6 issues and matchmaking of SMEs and research organisations
preparing EU project proposals.
The services it offers for SMEs and researchers are:
At the moment, 57 projects looking for partners are registered in the SMEs go LifeSciences database as well as 675 potential partners, including 340 SMEs and 284 research organisations and universities.
